It is beautiful here in Florida, warm and humid. A hint of breeze rustles the leaves and gently sways the flowers, as if asking it to dance.

It has one year since the pandemic hit our shores. One year of uncertainty, of fear and isolation. Who would have thought that a virus like COVID 19, could rock the world and force all of us to hit the break on our lives, slow down and isolate?
Prior to COVID 19, what was life like for you? Perhaps it is hard to remember because so much have happened since then. Or nothing really because we were all home bound and could not travel anyway.
I remember life being chaotic, always doing so much and never really had a moment to stop and smell the flowers or appreciate the moments. I was always giving to others but now, being forced to slow down, I learn to give to myself, in kindness and self-care.
If COVID 19 has taught us anything, it is to appreciate life more. Because life is a gift, one that we are given every time the sun rises.
As the vaccination become more readily available and the stimulus checks hits our bank accounts (for some of us), what are some things you are looking forward it? I for one, cannot wait to get rid of the masks and see the whole face of everyone. I am looking forward to seeing the smiles and energies of everyone in person, especially those I have not seen in a year. I am looking forward to traveling more and celebrating events such as birthdays and New Year, the things that help connect all of us as a community and as human beings.
What are some things COVID 19 has taught you, about yourself and the life you lived?
What are some things you want to keep the same and things you want to change?
Nature has a beautiful way of reminding us of the seasons, of embracing change and putting life into perspective. Change like the budding flowers and the aging leaves, reminds us of our temporary presence in the world.
That change is unstoppable but with the right mindset, it will put us at ease and allows us to embrace it.
So do more of what you love and worry less.
